The off season period (October to mid-December) and spring (April to May) is a great time to visit Pisa if you’re looking for a budget holiday. The flight and hotel prices are moderate and the weather is quite pleasant. A regatta of the old Maritime Republics is a festival held around late May or early June where 8-man crews race against each other along River Arno. If you’re going to Pisa around this time, make sure to catch the race. However, there is usually rain in October and November and winters are damp in Pisa.
If you're looking for a more vibrant atmosphere, visit during the summer months (June to September). Note that this is peak season, which means longer wait times if you're buying on-spot tickets, and the possibility of tickets running out if you don't book beforehand. Bookings for stay, air fare, etc. are also more likely to be hiked during this period.
Visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the mornings (preferably before 11am) when it is less crowded. Visiting mid-week is also more favorable when compared to the busier weekends.
Address: Leaning Tower of Pisa, Piazza del Duomo, 56126 Pisa PI, Italy

Pisa is a convenient day trip destination from Florence as it is only an hour away. You can catch a train from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station in Florence and get down at Pisa Centrale, the train station at Pisa. From here, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is just a 20-minute walk.
If you are a parent/guardian who wishes to climb the tower, please make personal arrangements for your child as children below the age of 8 cannot climb the Leaning Tower. Parents can take turns to watch their child or even take them to neighboring monuments in the Square of Miracles, where they are allowed entry.
Unfortunately, Leaning Tower of Pisa tickets will not be refunded if they are canceled. However, you can adjust/reschedule the time slot up to two hours before your visit. In good news, tickets to the other monuments in the Square of Miracles can be canceled 24 hours before the experience begins.
The Leaning Tower is a popular tourist attraction and is busy year round, but visiting during the off-peak months like January to March or October to mid-December might mean fewer crowds. It is also recommended that you visit during the first half of the morning or just before the tower closes for a smoother experience.
If you arrive at the Pisa Centrale train station, take any LAM Rossa bus and towards Pietrasantina and get off at the Torre stop. If it's available to you, it is highly recommended that you take a 20-minute walk from Pisa Centrale to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This will allow you to soak in the beautiful Pisan landscape with its quaint streets and old buildings.
Certified guide or guard dogs for people with disabilities are allowed into the Leaning Tower of Pisa without any restrictions, however they cannot climb the tower.
Don't worry if you can't climb the tower; there's still a lot you can do once you're at the Square of Miracles. You can visit the other monuments like the Cathedral, Baptistery and Camposanto. You can also visit the other two museums in the Cathedral Complex, the Sinopie Museum and the Opera del Duomo Museum.
